Expert Care with Compassion
Meet Shannen Gray, Registered Occupational therapist
Shannen is our senior Occupational Therapist with over 5 years of clinical experience across the public and private healthcare sectors. She holds a master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Queensland.
Shannen began her OT career working in residential aged care facilities and community home care packages, before transitioning into the NDIS. Shannen is currently working part time at a private hospital in Brisbane in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. She brings a wealth of experience across many practice areas, including disability, aged care, rehabilitation, neurological, home modifications, and assistive technology.
As an occupational therapist you will find Shannen to be warm, compassionate, light-hearted but dedicated, and committed to her clients and their outcomes. Building trust and meaningful connections is imperative to all of her interactions and ensures a collaborative approach with the client and their stakeholders.
In 2023, Shannen dedicated three months to volunteering at Kamanga Health Centre, collaborating with the community outreach team in a rural fishing village in Kamanga, Tanzania. This transformative experience deepened Shannen's appreciation for humanity and sparked a passion for breaking down barriers to accessing quality community health services.
In her spare time Shannen enjoys spending time with her family and her dog Archie, walking, reading, travelling, and cooking. She has also recently discovered a love for sourdough bread making.
Shannen is AHPRA registered and a member of OT Australia.
