Supporting Your Journey to Independence

About KOI Occupational Therapy

At KOI Occupational Therapy, we draw inspiration from the Koi fish, a symbol of strength, resilience, determination, courage, and triumph over life’s challenges. These qualities are at the heart of everything we do, as we strive to provide personalised, holistic care to our clients.

We believe that true independence comes from considering the whole person – their physical, emotional, and social needs – and how each of these elements shapes their journey. Our goal is to empower our clients to live fulfilling lives by providing tailored occupational therapy services that enhance daily living and foster meaningful participation in everyday activities.

Expert Care with Compassion

Meet Shannen Gray, Senior Occupational Therapist

Shannen is our senior Occupational Therapist with over 5 years of clinical experience across the public and private healthcare sectors. She holds a master’s degree in Occupation Therapy from the University of Queensland.

Shannen began her OT career working in residential aged care facilities and home care packages, before transitioning into the NDIS. Shannen is currently working part time at a private hospital in Brisbane in an inpatient rehabilitation setting.

In 2023, Shannen dedicated three months to volunteering at Kamanga Health Centre, collaborating with the community outreach team in a rural fishing village in Kamanga, Tanzania. This transformative experience deepened Shannen's appreciation for humanity and sparked a passion for breaking down barriers to accessing quality community health services.

In her spare time Shannen enjoys spending time with her family and her dog Archie, walking, reading, travelling, and cooking.

Shannen is AHPRA registered and a member of OT Australia.
